The VisionHelping Children Reach New Heights.

Pediatric Therapies Hawaiʻi is dedicated to providing the best therapeutic services to children of our community. We saw a lack of Physical and Occupational Therapy services available for children with disabilities and developmental delays here on Maui and created this practice to help fill that need. We support families of children with special needs and help these children overcome their challenges and reach new heights. We believe that all children are valuable to our community and making these services accessible for every child will help them maximize their participation in our community and in life.

The Mission StatementWe improve the physical, social, and emotional health of children.

Pediatric Therapies Hawaiʻi strives to make Physical and Occupational Therapy services accessible to every child on Maui. We specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, skeletal, or acquired disorders/diseases. Treatments focus mainly on improving gross and fine motor skills, balance and coordination, strength and endurance as well as cognitive and sensory processing and integration. We have a centrally located clinic with state-of-the-art equipment to maximize the potential of the children we serve.

We recognize that the necessary care is not always accessible living on a small remote island. Often times, children are sent to Oahu for specialized services or go without them, leading to substantial costs and burden to these children and their families. Due to a limited number of pediatric providers and lack of accessibility, children of our community are going without medically necessary care. Pediatric Therapies Hawaiʻi was created specifically out of this need and is determined to help all the children who are underserved in our community reach their full potential.

We ProvideOutpatient Services

Physical Therapy

We offer Physical Therapy to address strength, balance, and coordination deficits. Pediatric Physical Therapists improve a child's muscle, bone, and joint health and their overall functional mobility. We identify adaptive equipment needs and facilitate obtaining equipment. Our clinic features State-of-the-Art equipment for more effective treatment techniques.

Occupational Therapy

We offer Occupational Therapy to address feeding, fine motor, sensory, and behavioral concerns. Pediatric Occupational Therapists promote fine motor skills, which are integral to playing, writing, and self-care activities such as feeding and dressing. We facilitate sensory processing and integration so that children can pay attention, remain calm, and learn effectively. Our clinic features State-of-the-Art equipment for more effective treatment techniques.

The GoalHigh Quality Care. Accessible To All.

As a newly established therapy practice, we look to build our network of support throughout our community, working with other agencies at the local and state levels to help us achieve our mission. We hope to build strong relationships with families and community members/leaders to broaden our reach and expand our services to meet all the needs of our community. We hope to provide medically necessary therapy services to all those in need. We hope to expand to offer therapy services to the hardest to reach areas. We also hope to offer other specialized programs and activities for children with special needs such as therapeutic horseback riding and adaptive sports. Please help us fulfill our mission and reach this goal by spreading the word, both about our services and potential volunteer support. Mahalo!
